- Build an ultra-fast JSON serializer based on some of the recent papers on SIMD parsing
- Build a replicable RocksDB implementation
- Use ML to tune Apache Kafka
- Build a lightning-fast proxy using graph algorithms to traverse JSON trees and de-identify data (e.g. healthcare)
- Build a TCP socket-based client/server for our own database
